Well, holy basil did calm me down at first. I was able to fall asleep more easily at night and worried about things beyond my control less during the day. For a while, I was much calmer.

But, I guess it was a placebo effect or something, because it stopped working after a few weeks. Give it some time before you buy a boatload, if you know what I mean.

I’ve been taking New Chapter Holy Basil for four months now. I noticed a calming effect almost immediately. My days and nights were easier, less stressful. Pros:

Easy to swallow. Hexane-Free Softgel Capsules. Only need to take once a day. Large bottle lasts longer.

Cons:

Have to take on a full stomach. Seems to lower estrogen so you may need to supplement.
