My doctor put me on this and Bupropion at the same time. The pharmacy computer, which is supposed to warn of dangerous interactions, didn't. Thus, when the surgeon made the first incision, I bled like crazy. I wound up having to stay in the hospital two extra days, and had to have three units of blood in two transfusions. Whatever you do, DON'T combine this with Bupropion. I stopped the Cymbalta because I already didn't like its side effects, but then I found out it's been approved to treat fibromyalgia. I have fibromyalgia and am no longer able to take anti inflammatories. Therefore I'm staying off the Bupropion for a week and will then restart the Cymbalta.

Pros:

Treats depression. Treats fibromyalgia.

Cons:

Very dangerous in the wrong combination. Inhibits orgasm.

Too many side effects for my taste.

As someone who battles panic and anxiety, my family doctor suggested I try this. It did not help my panic and anxiety at all, but it did have some pretty nasty and annoying side effects that made me stop taking it. I would pee about 8 times a night, sweat constantly, yawn constantly and be tired all the time, it also made my body odor worse and gave me headaches. I would not recommend this to anyone. Plus, since there is no generic available, its really expensive. (please note that I got samples for free from my doctor)

Works for some people to help them with mental illness.

Cons:

WAY too many side effects.

I have had many ups and down in my recent months. There were lots of precious things i lost and was not able to concentrate on my work or health at all.

Cymbalta was referred to be by a friend of mine and after using it just or a week i could feel the difference in my stress level. It decrease to a great extend and this tablet really helped me get back my normal life.

For a long while after my parents death I felt like I wasn't me and I couldn't function. My Doctor prescribed this to me and for a while I thought that nothing would ever be the same without them but with this I managed to get myself together and adjust.
