I first tried Stevia when I started going to a local coffee shop that used it instead of Splenda to sweeten lattes. Ever since then, I've been hooked. Although it is VERY easy to use too much of this stuff and make things bitter, Stevia is all-natural and a wonderful substitute for other "fake" sweeteners out there.

Pros:

if used too much, will become bitter

WE started using this just last fall. I had been on the lookout for a sweetner that wasnt artifical and linked to any dangerous side effects. It is espically helfpul for using for the kids and I feel safe knowing its derived naturally. It doesnt have the strong licorise taste that others have, but it strong so be careful not to use too much!

My mother uses Stevia as she is diabetic patient. The ingredients are very natural and sugar free. It add a nice sweetness to the taste and it is undoubtedly the best choice for diabetic patients.

It has been more than six months that my mother is using Stevia and she seems to be very happy with its results.

Stevia is one of the few sweeteners allowed into our home. It is 100% natural, no sugar alcohol etc. and not likely to be found implicated in cancers years down the road. It is great in teas, cereals etc. Anytime you'd like to add just a touch of sweetening it's a perfect choice. A TINY little bit is enough!

Pros:
All natural. Highly concentrated - a little goes a long way!

Cons:
Can't bake with it and it is easy to add too much causing an unpleasant aftertaste. I ruined more than one pie trying to use stevia, it's for minor sweetening only. If buying in packets, it can get expensive.
