Adding acid (or fiber) to a meal complicates the digestion process thereby slows the effect on blood sugar. Helps reduce the 'what goes up must do down' effect. I prefer to have a jigger of it after the meal but choosing a vinaigrette on your salad helps a lot too. Should not be taken on an empty stomach as it will cause a burning discomfort. I opt for Bragg's because it is unfiltered (contains some mother), unheated and unpasteurized. Especially useful during those times you decide to cheat with your food. If I grabbed a cookie, I'll follow it with apple cider vinegar and won't pay too much of a price. As with anything blood sugar related, YMMV.

Date Purchased: 08/08
Price Paid: $3
Recommend: Yes
Pros:
Cheap, all natural, effective way to reduce a blood sugar spike from a meal or snack.

Cons:
Should not be taken on an empty stomach as it causes a very uncomfortable burning sensation. Personally, it makes my inner ear itch for a few short moments, but no one else in the family experiences this. (shrug)
