My son and I both take encapsulated cinnamon. It does a fine job of helping even out blood sugar. We are still playing to see if it is more effective taken in the a.m./p.m. or with a meal, half an hour after a meal etc. but are happy with it. When a low-salt diet became a necessity, we took to adding bulk organic, high-oil cinnamon to popcorn. Tastes great, the high oil only needs a touch of sugar as it's not at all bitter like the cheap stuff, and it's a healthy, natural snack!

Pros:
Cheap, easy to find, 100% natural, very effective. The higher the oil content, the better.
Cons:
Some people have issues with the taste coming back up on them but that can be regulated by taking it only with a meal. |
